Yoga Shiksha Shibir 2012 at Kashmir
A 15 days (20 August to 3 September 2012) Yoga Shiksha Shibir (YSS) was organized at Nagadandi (Kashmir), an oldest branch centre of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari. Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari used to regularly organize All India Yoga Shiksha Shibirs here till 1989 and in that year more than 100 had participated. This year’s - 2012 – Shibir was the attempt to resume it after a long gap of 23 years. Total 11 participants from 7 states (Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Mahathanyearshan 100 participantsrashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamilnadu & Andhra Pradesh) turned up with lot of hesitation as the news they were receiving through the media was so discouraging. But the beautiful Kashimir’s attraction was so powerful that the so called disturbed area did not become the blockage in their path.
